weather proof your skin

The cold weather is coming which means there is not better time to winterize your skin.
Some key steps to keep your skin safe from the environmental changes as the weather gets colder:
STAY PROTECTED
Although the sun may not seem like its blazing like it was this summer the sun is still as harsh on your skin in cooler weather. Protection with an SPF moisturizer or make up is essential. If you wear mineral make up chances are you're protected!
MOISTURIZE
Moisturizing avoids chapped skin, dry skin and irritation. Moisturize from head to toe as soon as your get out of the shower ( still wet ) and rehydrate your skin including your hands and feet as the day goes on. Olive oil is a great moiturizer for spots of dryness and its a wonderful antioxidant too!
EXFOLIATE
Dry skin is flaky and the best way to smooth it out is to exfoliate. If the outer layer is dry often it will prevent moisture from getting into the skin and being absorbed.
HYDRATE!
Water is essential to keeping your skin hydrated from the inside! Also, humidifiers keep the air in your home moist as well!

With these steps your skin will be soft and healthy all season long!!

LC & REVIEW

I recieved the Z PALLETE in the mail today.. Not so impressed..
It was HEAVY & NO MAGNET therefore,  the shadows and or blush/bronzer I put in there are sliding around. The magnetic closure is secure (may be the cause of the bulk and heaviness ) but I still worry that the shadows would spill inside a make up bag.

On a happier note..:) I recieved Lauren Conrad's new Books: SO excited to read! Ive read the rest of the book in her series and can't wait to read whats next!! HAPPY THURSDAY!

& STYLE...

Have you read any of her books? What do you think?
I've already spotted some great make up looks in STYLE!

Monday, October 4

I have been looking for a solution to storage for all of my MAC single eyeshadows and random eyeshadows that I could depot and store easily. Z PALETTE had been all over internet and I was at first a little hesitant to try it because of the cardboard look of the outside and how well it will stand up in my ON THE GO lifestyle.. But I found it on BEAUTY.COM / DRUGSTORE.COM and purchased the small one for 14.99 (19.99 with shipping). I was impressed with the sleekness of the palette and it claims to hold 9 shadows. I was looking into the larger one ($20.00) but read in reviews it was heavier and not practical for traveling. It came in four design options..
I chose the palette in BLACK

Have you tried Z PALETTE?? What do you think? Would you repurchase? I will let you know what I think...
